Informed Consent for Massage Therapy Services
In effect since October 9, 2026
Please read this carefully before your first session.
What This Work Is
The Intuitive Intent practices a single, deeply individualized approach to therapeutic massage. There is no predetermined sequence, no fixed protocol, no technique applied regardless of what the body communicates. Sessions are guided entirely by listening — through touch, through tissue response, through the observable patterns of guarding, holding, restriction, and release that emerge in real time under skilled hands.
This work draws on principles common to advanced therapeutic massage modalities including myofascial release, neuromuscular therapy, and trigger point technique. These disciplines recognize that the body's response to stress, injury, chronic tension, and lived experience is complex, layered, and deeply interconnected. Physical tension patterns, breathing habits, movement restrictions, protective muscular recruitment, and autonomic nervous system state are not separate problems — they are expressions of a single human being navigating a single life.
The work is slow by necessity. Tissues cannot be rushed to open. Forcing a release that the body is not ready to make produces resistance, not resolution. Sessions follow what the body is willing to do — not what a clock demands. This is why longer sessions — two hours and beyond — are often where the most meaningful work occurs. Depth requires time, and time creates the space for release.
For private sessions, 90 minutes is the minimum offered, and it is genuinely useful — particularly for new clients getting their first experience of this approach. There is a well-developed protocol for that duration that provides real benefit and gives both client and practitioner a clear sense of what the body is holding and how it responds to the work. It is an honest and productive starting point. It simply is not where the ceiling is.
Terminology used throughout this document and in session — including references to nervous system response, guarding patterns, holding patterns, muscular compensation, protective recruitment, and tissue restriction — describes non-diagnostic palpatory observations within the established scope of massage therapy practice, grounded in the modalities named above. These terms reflect what skilled therapeutic touch can observe and work with. They are not medical diagnoses, psychological evaluations, or claims of neurological or psychological treatment. References to the nervous system throughout these materials describe commonly observed relaxation and stress-response phenomena associated with massage therapy and are not representations of neurological treatment or medical intervention. Clients commonly experience changes not only in physical tension but also in relaxation, breathing, mood, body awareness, and overall sense of well-being during and after sessions. These experiences are real, frequently reported, and deeply respected. They arise from the interconnected nature of the human body — not from any claim to authority over a single medical or psychological domain within it.
Scope of Practice
Your practitioner is a licensed massage therapist regulated by the State Medical Board of Ohio under Ohio Administrative Code Rule 4731-1-05. Under Ohio law, the practitioner:
May not diagnose any medical condition
May not prescribe any treatment, medication, or course of care
May not claim to treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition
May evaluate whether the application of massage therapy is advisable and may refer you to an appropriate licensed healthcare professional when appropriate
Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice. Nothing communicated during your session constitutes a medical diagnosis or treatment recommendation. If you have or suspect you have a medical condition, consult a licensed physician.
Benefits
Massage therapy may provide benefits including but not limited to: reduction of muscle tension and pain, improved circulation, reduced stress, improved range of motion and flexibility, support for relaxation and stress-response regulation, and general improvement in sense of well-being. Individual results vary. No specific outcome is guaranteed.
Risks and Potential Adverse Effects
Massage therapy is generally considered safe. You should be aware that the following may occur:
Temporary soreness or discomfort during or after a session, particularly in areas of significant or chronic tension
Temporary bruising, especially in clients with sensitive skin or taking blood-thinning medications
Temporary fatigue following the session
Clients occasionally report unexpected emotional responses associated with deep relaxation or stress reduction — these are common, normal, and not a cause for concern
Aggravation of a pre-existing condition if not properly disclosed
In rare cases, more significant adverse effects may occur in clients with undisclosed contraindications
You are responsible for fully and accurately disclosing your health history. Failure to disclose relevant medical history, medications, injuries, surgeries, or other conditions may increase the risk of adverse effects and may affect the enforceability of the liability waiver you will be asked to sign.
Contraindications — Please Reschedule If:
You have a fever, active infection, or communicable illness
You have an acute inflammatory condition currently in active flare
You have open wounds, skin infections, or rashes in areas to be worked
You have had recent surgery (within 6 weeks) without physician clearance
You have signs of a possible blood clot that haven't been checked by a doctor, such as new swelling, pain, warmth, or redness in one leg. Please get these checked promptly.
You are in the first trimester of pregnancy without physician clearance
You are experiencing a cardiovascular event or have unstable cardiovascular disease
Some conditions don't require rescheduling but do mean an area won't be worked, such as a current or past blood clot (deep vein thrombosis). List these on your health history so the session can be planned around them.
Cancellation due to a contraindication or illness will be handled at the practitioner's discretion and is never treated with judgment. Your health comes first.
Your Rights During a Session
You have the right at any time to:
Ask the practitioner to stop the session immediately
Ask the practitioner to modify pressure, technique, or the area being worked
Ask questions about what is being done and why
End the session early at any time, without explanation. Stopping never adds a charge (see the Cancellation and No-Show Policy).
Your comfort and safety are always the priority. The practitioner cannot respond to what you do not express.
Draping and Privacy
You will be professionally draped at all times. Only the area of the body being actively worked will be uncovered, and all draping is managed by the practitioner with care and deliberateness. Genital areas are never exposed under any circumstances. The gluteal region is worked exclusively through the draping sheet and is never uncovered.
Abdominal Work and Breast Draping
Work on the abdomen is a meaningful part of some sessions, as the abdominal region plays a significant role in nervous system tone, diaphragmatic function, and fascial continuity throughout the trunk. When abdominal work is indicated and consented to: the primary draping sheet is folded down to the level of the hip bones to expose the abdomen. For clients with breasts, a separate towel drape is positioned across the chest to maintain full coverage of the breast tissue throughout. At no time is breast tissue uncovered. Abdominal work will only be performed with your explicit verbal consent at the time of the session. You may decline without explanation.
If at any time you feel your boundaries or privacy have been violated, you have the right to stop the session immediately and your concern will be taken seriously without exception.
Dress and Skin Contact
Massage therapy is most effective with direct skin contact, as tactile feedback through the skin gives the practitioner the clearest possible sense of what is occurring in the underlying tissue. The more direct contact available, the more precisely the work can be guided. Clients should always undress to their comfort level.
Comfort comes first. If you prefer to remain more clothed, that is entirely your choice and the work will adapt accordingly. Years of hands-on experience make it possible to work effectively through fabric when needed. There is no pressure and no judgment. Wear whatever allows you to feel at ease — the session will meet you there.
Following the brief in-person consultation at the start of your session, the practitioner will excuse themselves to the restroom while you disrobe and get situated comfortably on the table under the draping sheet. The practitioner will return only when you indicate you are ready, and will wash hands before beginning. Handwashing is also performed at the close of the session.
Mobile and In-Home Services
The Intuitive Intent provides services at the client's home or specified location. By requesting services, you acknowledge that you have the authority to grant access to the location and accept responsibility for ensuring the space is reasonably safe and accessible for the provision of services.
Session Space Requirements
To set up safely and work effectively, the session space needs to accommodate a professional massage table with adequate working room. Because the majority of the work is performed from the sides of the table, width clearance is the most important dimension — length is more forgiving.
The table is 30 inches wide by approximately 73 inches long. Minimum clearance is 3 feet along both long sides. Ideal side clearance is 4 feet. Practical minimum room width is approximately 9 feet. End clearance can be tighter if necessary.
The floor should be level and stable. The area around the table should be clear of cords, furniture legs, and trip hazards. The room should be warm enough to be comfortable while lying still, and ideally dimmable or shielded from harsh overhead light. A bathroom should be reasonably accessible — the practitioner will use it briefly at the start and close of the session.
Spaces that typically work well: living rooms with furniture shifted, master bedrooms, dining rooms with the table moved, finished basements, home offices with adequate space. Spaces that often present challenges: small secondary bedrooms, heavily cluttered rooms, spaces where side clearance cannot be achieved.
If you are unsure whether your space will work, reach out before the session. The practitioner has worked in a wide range of environments — but arriving to find the space genuinely will not accommodate the work creates a problem for everyone.
Pets
The practitioner has no objection to animals in the home. The request is that pets likely to interfere with the session — jumping on the table, becoming anxious around equipment, or behaving aggressively toward a stranger in their space — be kept in another area during the session. Use honest judgment about your pet's temperament.
Fragrance and Scent Sensitivity
The practitioner is sensitive to strong artificial fragrances — perfumes, heavily scented lotions, synthetic air fresheners, and similar products. As a condition of service, please avoid applying strong fragrances before your session. Natural and lightly scented products are generally fine.
If there is strong fragrance in the session space or on the client, the practitioner may ask for it to be cleared, for example by airing out the room or washing it off. If it can't be cleared, the practitioner may decline to begin or continue the session, and the charge described in the Cancellation and No-Show Policy applies.
Substances and Intoxication
Please don't come to a session under the influence of alcohol, cannabis, or other substances that affect judgment or sensation. This work depends on you noticing and saying when pressure or positioning isn't right, and being impaired makes that harder. It can also leave you more lightheaded or unsteady when you get up afterward.
Medications are different: list any you take on your health history, including ones that cause drowsiness or affect bleeding, so the session can be adjusted.
The practitioner reserves the right to assess whether a client appears to be in a state that makes safe session delivery impossible. If the practitioner determines that proceeding would pose a risk to the client's safety or wellbeing, the session will not proceed, and the charge described in the Cancellation and No-Show Policy applies.
Cleanliness and Hygiene
Direct skin contact is central to this work. Clients are not expected to be freshly showered immediately before a session, but basic hygiene — clean skin, clean clothing — is a reasonable professional standard and a matter of mutual respect for the nature of the work. If hygiene conditions make professional service delivery inappropriate, the practitioner reserves the right to decline to proceed. The charge described in the Cancellation and No-Show Policy applies in that situation.
Communication During the Session
Conversation is genuinely welcome during your session. The practitioner works with the whole person — and that includes the mind. Wide-ranging discussion, questions about the body and how it works, stories, and conversations that go wherever they go are a natural part of how this work unfolds. Many clients find that genuine engagement, an interesting line of thought, or a shift in attention supports the work — the conscious mind relaxes its grip, and the body often follows.
Silence is equally welcome. There is no expectation either way. Follow what feels natural.
The one request: if something is not working for you — pressure, positioning, temperature, the direction or topic of conversation, or anything else — say so the moment you notice it. The practitioner is reading your body, not your mind. Clear communication about your comfort and preferences will always improve the session.
Services for Minor Clients
The Intuitive Intent occasionally provides massage therapy services to clients under the age of 18, including student athletes and adolescents referred by a parent or guardian.
A parent or legal guardian must hold an active account on the platform before a minor account may be created. Minor accounts are linked to and managed under the parent or guardian account.
All intake forms, health history disclosures, and consent documents for a minor client must be completed and signed by the parent or legal guardian, who assumes full legal responsibility for the accuracy of all information provided.
The parent or legal guardian must sign the Liability Waiver and Release of Claims on behalf of the minor.
Parents and guardians are welcome to remain in or near the session space for the duration of the appointment and are encouraged to do so. A parent present in the room often provides meaningful context, helps the practitioner understand the client's history more fully, and can offer answers to body and health questions that the minor client may not yet have language for. Parents are welcome to come and go as comfortable throughout the session.
The Intuitive Intent does not market its services to minors and does not accept unsolicited booking requests for minor clients. All minor client relationships originate through a parent or guardian who is an established client or direct referral.

Parties
This Liability Waiver and Release of Claims ("Agreement") is made by the individual signing below ("I," "me," "my," or "Client") in favor of The Intuitive Intent LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Ohio, together with its owner, practitioners, employees, agents, and successors (collectively, "The Intuitive Intent" or "Released Parties").
Throughout this Agreement, "I," "me," and "my" refer to the Client signing below. "The Intuitive Intent" and "Released Parties" refer to the service provider and all associated individuals and entities identified above.
Description of Services
The Intuitive Intent provides mobile massage therapy services performed at locations specified by the Client, including the Client's home or other private locations. These services involve hands-on physical contact and manipulation of soft tissue as described in the accompanying Informed Consent document.
Voluntary Participation and Assumption of Risk
I, the Client, acknowledge and agree that:
My participation in massage therapy services provided by The Intuitive Intent is entirely voluntary.
I have read and understood the Informed Consent for Massage Therapy Services, including the description of potential risks and adverse effects, and I voluntarily assume all such risks.
I understand that massage therapy involves physical contact and manipulation of soft tissue and that, despite the exercise of reasonable care by the practitioner, temporary discomfort or unintended effects may occur.
I understand that the effectiveness of massage therapy varies by individual and that no specific result, outcome, or therapeutic benefit is guaranteed.
I understand that I am receiving services at my home or another location I have selected or approved, and that The Intuitive Intent does not control the conditions of that environment. I assume responsibility for the safety and suitability of the premises, including but not limited to: floor surfaces, trip hazards, furniture placement, animals present on the premises, air quality including smoke or chemical irritants, temperature conditions, and the presence of other individuals in the home.
I have accurately and completely disclosed all relevant health information, medical history, surgeries, injuries, medications, and conditions in my health history intake form. I understand that failure to disclose such information accurately may increase my risk of adverse effects and may affect my ability to bring any future claim.
Release of Liability — Negligence
In consideration of The Intuitive Intent providing massage therapy services to me, and for other good and valuable consideration the receipt and sufficiency of which I hereby acknowledge, I, on behalf of myself and my heirs, assigns, executors, administrators, and legal representatives, hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Released Parties from any and all claims, demands, losses, costs, expenses, and liability of any kind whatsoever, including claims based on NEGLIGENCE, arising out of or related to the massage therapy services provided to me, including but not limited to:
Physical injury, soreness, bruising, or discomfort during or following a session
Aggravation of a pre-existing condition
Adverse reactions to massage techniques
Any injury occurring at the Client's premises or other service location
Any claim related to the rendering or failure to render massage therapy services
This release covers claims arising from the NEGLIGENCE of the Released Parties, except as limited below.
Limitations on This Release
This Agreement does not release the Released Parties from liability for any of the following, as these terms are defined under Ohio law:
Intentional misconduct — acting to cause harm, or acting while knowing that harm is substantially certain to result
Willful misconduct — deliberately departing from a clear duty or safety rule, or purposely doing something wrong while knowing that injury is likely
Wanton misconduct — failing to use any care at all in circumstances where harm is highly probable
Reckless misconduct — consciously disregarding, or being indifferent to, a known or obvious risk of harm
Any other liability that Ohio law does not permit to be waived by private agreement
Intentional, willful, wanton, and reckless misconduct all go well beyond carelessness. Claims based on negligence remain released as described above.
This release is intended to apply to the fullest extent Ohio law allows.
Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claim, loss, or damage arising directly from:
My intentional misrepresentation or knowing concealment of health history, medical conditions, medications, or contraindications relevant to the safe provision of massage therapy
An unsafe condition of the premises that I knew about and did not disclose
My intentional or reckless conduct during a session that causes harm to the practitioner or the practitioner's equipment
This indemnification applies only to the situations listed above. It does not cover claims based on the Released Parties' own negligence or misconduct, or on my own ordinary carelessness.
Comparative Fault Acknowledgment
I understand that under Ohio Revised Code Section 2315.33, my own conduct may be considered in determining fault for any injury I sustain. If my failure to accurately disclose health information, failure to communicate during a session, or creation of an unsafe service environment contributed to an injury, that contribution may affect my ability to recover damages.
Session Environment — Mobile Services
Because The Intuitive Intent operates as a mobile service in client-controlled environments, I acknowledge the following:
I am responsible for disclosing the presence of animals in the home that may enter the session space, and for confining them if requested
I am responsible for disclosing air quality conditions including cigarette smoke, chemical irritants, strong fragrances, or other environmental factors that may affect the session
If the session environment is determined by the practitioner to be unsafe, unsuitable, or incompatible with the professional performance of services, the practitioner reserves the right to decline to begin or to discontinue the session
Recording Prohibition
The session space is a private therapeutic environment. No audio, video, or photographic recording of any kind is permitted during a session without the explicit written consent of both the client and the practitioner, obtained in advance of the session. This applies to all recording devices including phones, tablets, wearable devices, and dedicated recording equipment. It does not apply to existing home security systems that were in operation prior to the practitioner's arrival, provided the client discloses their presence before the session begins.
This policy protects both parties equally. Violation of this policy is grounds for immediate termination of the session and refusal of future services.
Mutual consent exception: Either party may request recorded documentation of a session for a specific educational, clinical, or marketing purpose. Any such recording requires advance written agreement from both parties and must be limited to the agreed purpose.
Communicable Illness
I represent and warrant that at the time of each session I am not knowingly ill with a communicable disease or condition. If I am ill, I will notify The Intuitive Intent prior to my appointment to reschedule.
Governing Law and Venue
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be resolved in the courts of the county in which the services giving rise to the dispute were performed, or the county of The Intuitive Intent's principal place of business, at the election of The Intuitive Intent.
Severability
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Acknowledgment — Document 2
BY SIGNING BELOW, I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT:
I HAVE READ THIS ENTIRE DOCUMENT
I UNDERSTAND THAT I AM GIVING UP LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE FOR NEGLIGENCE
I have had the opportunity to ask questions and seek independent legal advice before signing
I am at least 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into this Agreement, or I am the parent or legal guardian of the minor client named in this intake and I am signing on their behalf with full legal authority to do so
If signing on behalf of a minor, I assume personal responsibility for the accuracy of all health history information provided and accept these terms as the minor's legal representative
I am signing freely and voluntarily, without duress or coercion
My typed name in the final signature at the end of this intake constitutes my legal electronic signature pursuant to the E-SIGN Act (15 U.S.C. Section 7001 et seq.) and Ohio's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (ORC Section 1306.01 et seq.)

Professional Conduct and Boundaries Policy
In effect since October 9, 2026
Statement of Professional Nature
All massage therapy services provided by The Intuitive Intent are strictly professional and therapeutic in nature. This work operates entirely within the scope of licensed massage therapy as defined and regulated by the State Medical Board of Ohio.
There is no ambiguity about this. The Intuitive Intent exists to provide skilled, ethical, professional bodywork. That is the beginning and end of what is offered.
Client Conduct Standards
The therapeutic relationship depends on mutual respect. The following conduct is grounds for immediate termination of the session and permanent refusal of future services, at the sole discretion of the practitioner:
Any sexually suggestive comment, request, gesture, or behavior directed toward the practitioner
Any inappropriate physical contact with the practitioner
Any threatening, intimidating, or aggressive language or behavior
Any conduct that makes the practitioner feel unsafe
Requesting, suggesting, or implying that services of a sexual nature are available or desired
No warning is required before termination of a session for any of the above. The practitioner's safety and professional integrity are non-negotiable. If a session is ended for any of these reasons, the full session price is due.
Practitioner Conduct — Your Protections
The practitioner commits to the following professional standards in every session:
All touch is therapeutic, purposeful, and within the scope of licensed massage therapy
Draping standards described in the Informed Consent will be maintained without exception
No sexual contact of any kind will occur under any circumstances
You will be treated with dignity and respect at all times
Your verbal and physical limits will be honored immediately upon expression
You have the right to stop the session at any time for any reason
If you ever feel that these standards have not been met, you are encouraged to report your concern to The Intuitive Intent directly and, if appropriate, to the State Medical Board of Ohio.
Scope Clarity
Massage therapy does not include, and The Intuitive Intent does not provide: psychological or psychiatric services, medical diagnosis or treatment, chiropractic adjustment, physical therapy, or sexual services of any kind. If any service outside the scope of licensed massage therapy is requested, the request will be declined and the session may be terminated.
Practitioner Right to Terminate
The practitioner reserves the right to terminate a session immediately, without prior warning, if:
The client engages in conduct described above
The session environment becomes unsafe for any reason
The client appears to be under the influence of substances to a degree that affects judgment or safety
Continuing the session would require the practitioner to act outside the scope of licensed massage therapy
In all cases of practitioner-initiated termination due to client conduct, the full session price is due. Other early endings are handled as described in the Cancellation and No-Show Policy.
Acknowledgment — Document 3
By signing below, I acknowledge that:
1. I have read and understood this Professional Conduct and Boundaries Policy on its own, separately from the other documents in this intake process
2. I understand what conduct is expected of me as a client
3. I understand the professional standards I can expect from The Intuitive Intent
4. I understand that violation of this policy may result in immediate session termination and permanent refusal of future services
5. My typed name below constitutes my legal electronic signature under the E-SIGN Act and Ohio's Uniform Electronic Transactions Act
Privacy Policy
In effect since October 9, 2026
Effective Date: October 9, 2026
Our Commitment to Your Privacy
The Intuitive Intent LLC takes the privacy of your personal and health information seriously. The information you share in order to receive care — your health history, your medical background, your personal circumstances — is treated with the same care and discretion as the work itself.
This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, who has access to it, and how we protect it. It also describes your rights regarding that information and how to exercise them.
The Intuitive Intent is a cash-pay practice that does not bill insurance, so it is not a covered entity under HIPAA, the federal health privacy law, and this policy is not a HIPAA notice. The protections described here are commitments we make to you voluntarily.
We do not sell your information. We share it only as described in this policy: with the service providers that help us run the practice, with your authorization, or when the law or an emergency requires it. We collect it only to provide you with safe, effective, and personalized care.
Information We Collect
Personal identifying information: name, date of birth, contact information, emergency contact
Health history: medical conditions, surgical history, injuries, medications, allergies, pregnancy status
Session records: SOAP notes, session dates, duration, services rendered, practitioner observations
Consent and legal records: signed consent documents, signatures, timestamps, and the device and internet address used to sign
Payment information: billing records, payment history (payment card data is processed by Stripe and is never stored on our systems)
Communications: messages, booking requests, and notes exchanged through the platform
How We Use Your Information
Providing Your Sessions: We use your health information to provide safe, appropriate massage therapy services tailored to your individual needs.
Practice Administration: We use your information to manage appointments, maintain records, process payments, and communicate with you about your care.
Legal Compliance: We may use or disclose your information as required by applicable law.
Safety: In a genuine emergency involving immediate risk to life, we may disclose relevant information to emergency responders.
Minor Clients: For clients under the age of 18, the parent or legal guardian who manages the minor's account has access to that minor's health records and session information. This access continues until the minor reaches the age of 18, at which time account control may be transitioned to the individual upon request.
Group Events: If you receive a session at a workplace or group event, such as a company appreciation day or an athletic event, the business or organizer that booked it receives only total counts, such as how many sessions were given. It never receives your name or anything you tell us.
Messages You Opt In To: If you opt in to hear from us, we send one message introducing our practice, and nothing more unless you reach out for more information or book a session. Every message includes a way to unsubscribe. We never send marketing messages to minors.
Public Content: We never use your health information, session details, or story in public content, such as social media posts, without your separate written permission. Educational content drawn from our experience is written so that no client can be identified.
How We Do NOT Use Your Information
The Intuitive Intent will never: sell your health information to any third party; use your health information for marketing purposes without your explicit written authorization; disclose your information to your employer; share your information with family members or others without your authorization except in a life-threatening emergency; or use your information for any purpose not described in this Policy without your written authorization.
Service Providers
Like most practices today, we rely on a small number of trusted service providers. Each one handles your information only to do a specific job for us, and receives only what that job requires.
Secure hosting and database: stores your account, intake, and session records in encrypted form on professional cloud infrastructure.
Payment processing: handles card payments. It never receives your health information.
Maps and routing: uses your service address to plan drive times so your practitioner arrives on time. It never receives your health information.
Email and business tools: used for administrative communications.
Phone, text, and voice services: deliver text messages and, where phone access is offered, connect calls to the assistant and convert speech to text and back. Calls are transcribed, and may be recorded, so there is an accurate record of your request. The assistant tells you at the start of every call that you are speaking with an AI.
AI tools: A front desk assistant, available in your client portal and by phone where phone access is offered, answers scheduling and general questions and takes requests, including the privacy requests described in this policy. It does not give medical or clinical advice; those questions go to your practitioner. Separately, AI writing tools help your practitioner organize session notes, prepare for the next day's appointments, and draft replies to booking requests, and your practitioner reviews those drafts before they are used. To do these jobs, the AI tools process the relevant parts of your record, which can include your name, service address, health history, and session notes, along with anything you tell the assistant. The AI does not make decisions about your care. We use only AI services that do not train their models on the information we send and that delete it within 30 days, except in limited cases where the provider must keep it longer for safety or legal reasons.
We do not share your health information with anyone else except as described in this policy. You can ask us for the current list of our service providers at any time.
Data Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards reasonably designed to protect the confidentiality and security of your personal and health information. These measures may include encrypted data transmission and storage, access controls, secure authentication procedures, and audit logging where applicable. While no electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure, The Intuitive Intent takes reasonable and ongoing measures to safeguard the information entrusted to us.
Your Rights Regarding Your Health Information
Right to Access Your Records: You may request a copy of the health information we hold about you at any time by asking the assistant or emailing hello@theintuitiveintent.com. Before anything is released, we confirm the request with you by text message to the phone number on file (or another contact method on file if you can't receive texts), and your practitioner personally approves the release. Records are sent only to the email address or client portal account on file, and are never read aloud or shared during a conversation with the assistant. We will respond within 30 days.
Right to Request Amendment: If you believe your health information is inaccurate or incomplete, send an amend request from your client portal, tell your practitioner at your next session, or email hello@theintuitiveintent.com. All updates are recorded as additions — the original record remains visible alongside any approved changes so your full history is always preserved. We will respond within 60 days.
Right to a List of Disclosures: You may request a list of any disclosures we have made of your health information other than those made to provide your sessions or for practice administration, as described in How We Use Your Information.
Right to Request Restrictions: You may request that we restrict how we use or disclose your health information. We will consider your request and respond in writing.
Right to a Copy of This Policy: The current version of this Privacy Policy and our other client documents is always available at theintuitiveintent.com/policies. Every document you have signed is in your client portal.
Right to Revoke Authorization: If you have given us written authorization to use or disclose your information for a specific purpose, you may revoke that authorization in writing at any time.
Right to Data Deletion: You may ask us to delete your personal and health information at any time. Anything not covered by our retention period is deleted right away. Your health history, session notes, signed documents, payment records, and messages with us are kept for seven years after your last session, because they may be needed for legal, tax, or professional purposes. For a client who was under 18, they are kept until seven years after the last session or three years after the client's 18th birthday, whichever is later. After a deletion request, those records are used only for those purposes and are deleted as soon as the period ends. When you make a request, we will tell you clearly what can be deleted now, what must be kept, and until when.
If you don't ask for deletion, we keep your records after that period so your history is available if you return.
How to Exercise Your Rights
Through the assistant: Ask the assistant. It can take any of these requests and route them to us.
By email:
Business and administrative inquiries including privacy matters: hello@theintuitiveintent.com
Clinical questions about your body, your sessions, or your care: bryan@theintuitiveintent.com
How to File a Complaint
If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, contact The Intuitive Intent at the information above. Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time. When this Policy changes, we will: notify every current client through their preferred communication channel; provide the full text of the updated Policy for review; and request explicit re-authorization — a new signature confirming you have read and accepted the revised terms. No client will be assumed to have accepted changes they were not directly notified of and given the opportunity to review.

Appointment Confirmation, Cancellation, and No-Show Policy
In effect since October 9, 2026
Why This Policy Exists
The Intuitive Intent operates as a mobile practice. Every appointment represents preparation, travel, and a committed block of time that cannot be recovered once it is underway. This policy exists to protect that investment on both sides — yours and the practitioner's — while remaining fair and human about the realities of life. This is not a punitive policy. It is a mutual agreement about how we respect each other's time.
Appointment Confirmation — Required
All appointments require client confirmation through the app no later than 24 hours before the scheduled session start time.
The app will send an automated reminder at the 48-hour mark and again at the 24-hour mark. If confirmation has not been received by the required window, the practitioner will be notified and may attempt to reach you directly.
If your appointment is still unconfirmed 12 hours before the start time and we haven't been able to reach you, your practitioner may release the time slot, and we'll let you know. A released appointment is treated as a late cancellation.
Why confirmation matters for mobile work: The practitioner coordinates multiple client locations into a single travel route each day. A cancellation after the practitioner has left home to begin that day's route is a different category of disruption than a cancellation made the night before — and is treated accordingly under this policy.
Cancellation Policy
Every cancellation is logged in your client record with the date, time of cancellation, and hours remaining before the scheduled session.
In this policy, "session price" means the total price of the booked session as shown in your booking confirmation, including any travel fee.
Cancellation with at least 24 hours notice: No charge.
Late cancellation — less than 24 hours notice: Charged the full session price. Your first late cancellation in any 6-month period is free, as long as it comes in before your practitioner has left for that day's appointments.
No-show: Charged the full session price. This includes a confirmed appointment with no contact while your practitioner is en route or has arrived.
These charges are a reasonable estimate of what a late cancellation or missed session costs a mobile practice. The main cost is the reserved time itself: a slot that usually can't be refilled on short notice, and that can leave your practitioner with hours of unusable time between appointments on a routed day. That cost is difficult to measure precisely for any single appointment. Charges are assessed at the time of the cancellation or missed session and must be paid before the next appointment can be scheduled. Your practitioner may waive or reduce any charge under this policy.
Chronic pattern — three or more late cancellations or no-shows in any 12-month period: Your account is flagged for practitioner review, and continued booking may require a deposit of up to the session price at scheduling.
Deposits: Sessions of three hours or longer may also require a deposit when you confirm the appointment. If one is required, it's shown in your booking confirmation. Any deposit goes toward your session or toward any charge due under this policy. If your practitioner cancels, it is refunded. If you cancel with no charge due, it carries over to your next booking or is refunded on request.
Sessions That End Early or Can't Begin
You may end a session early at any time, for any reason. Stopping never adds a charge: the full session price applies, the same as if the session had run its full length. If you end a session because of a concern about your practitioner's conduct, you owe nothing.
If your practitioner ends a session that is underway because of your conduct or conditions you control, the full session price is due.
If a session can't begin because of conditions you control — such as being under the influence of alcohol or other substances, fragrance that can't be cleared, hygiene, or a space that isn't safe or workable — it is treated as a no-show and charged the full session price.
If a session ends early for reasons not caused by you — such as your practitioner becoming ill, a health concern that comes up during the session, or circumstances outside your control — you pay only a prorated share of the session price for the time you received.
Illness and Contraindications
If you need to cancel because you are ill or have developed a contraindication that makes proceeding unsafe, cancellation charges are waived at the practitioner's discretion. Please communicate as early as possible. Do not attend your appointment if you are ill.
This also applies to illness within your household. If someone in your home is actively ill with a contagious condition, please notify the practitioner before the session. This is not automatically a reason to cancel — in many cases reasonable precautions are sufficient — but it is information the practitioner needs to make an informed professional decision about how to proceed. Failing to disclose active illness in the household when you are aware of it may affect whether charges are waived under this policy.
Practitioner Cancellation
If the practitioner must cancel or reschedule, you will be notified as early as possible through your preferred communication channel. Practitioner cancellations do not count against your cancellation record.
How to Cancel
Cancel through the app. The app timestamps cancellations automatically, creating an accurate record for both parties.

Workplace Event Terms
In effect since October 9, 2026
What's included: Short massage sessions for your people at your location, fully clothed, on a table or in a chair depending on the space, for the hours and price in your quote. Each participant is 18 or older and agrees to a short consent before their session, and taking part is always voluntary.
Your space: A reasonably private, quiet area with room for a massage table or chair. We'll confirm the setup before the event, and your practitioner chooses table or chair based on the space.
Payment: Due by the date on your invoice.
If plans change: Canceling or rescheduling is free with at least 7 days' notice. Inside 7 days, half the quoted total is due, because we're holding a full day for your team that usually can't be refilled. Same-day cancellations are charged the full quoted total. If you rebook within 90 days, what you've paid goes toward the new date. If something outside your control, like severe weather or an emergency at your site, forces a cancellation, there's no charge and we'll find a new date together.
If we need to cancel: We'll reschedule at no cost or refund anything you've paid.
Insurance: Your practitioner carries professional liability insurance. A certificate of insurance is available on request.
Privacy: You receive counts only, such as how many sessions were given. We never share participants' names or anything they tell us, and we don't sign business associate agreements. Please don't send us employees' health information.
Conduct and safety: Our Professional Conduct and Boundaries Policy applies to every session. Your practitioner may decline or end any session for safety or conduct reasons.
Independent business: The Intuitive Intent LLC is an independent business, not your employee or agent. These terms are governed by Ohio law.
Athletic and Charity Event Terms
In effect since October 9, 2026
What's included: Short sports massage for your participants at your event, on a table or in a chair, offered as a volunteer service at no charge unless we've agreed otherwise in writing. Each participant is 18 or older and agrees to a short consent before their session, and taking part is always voluntary.
Setup: A level, shaded spot, ideally near the finish and your medical or first aid team. We'll confirm placement and hours before the event.
Changes: If the event is canceled or moved, let us know as early as you can. If we can't make it, we'll tell you as soon as possible.
Medical: Massage isn't medical care. Anyone with a new injury or signs of heat illness is sent to medical help first.
Insurance: Your practitioner carries professional liability insurance. A certificate of insurance is available on request.
Privacy: You receive counts only, such as how many sessions were given. We never share participants' names or anything they tell us.
Conduct and safety: Our Professional Conduct and Boundaries Policy applies to every session. Your practitioner may decline or end any session for safety or conduct reasons.
Independent business: The Intuitive Intent LLC takes part as an independent business volunteering its services, not as your employee or agent. These terms are governed by Ohio law.
